This A-shaped M-3 mandolin is a standard, beginner-friendly mandolin that provides the signature bright, folk-style sound of a mandolin at a price many new players can justify spending on their first mandolin. The body is made from birch and sapele, which provides more of a "woody" sound characteristic of a mandolin. The A-style construction makes this instrument more afforadble without sacrificing substantial sound quality (compared to the F-style mandolin).
